Conference Theme The objective of the workshop is to convene a small but selected group of academics and thoughtful practitioners to share their work or their thinking on the link between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the development of Corporate Strategy. The key questions driving the agenda are: · How does Corporate Social Responsibility theory and practice inform (if at all) the content and the process of strategy? · How could/should it inform the development of a theory of strategic management based on the explicit consideration and integration of the social responsibilities of business companies? · Does the adaptation of strategic management theory require a marginal adjustment to the current thinking and practice, or a more radical re-design of our models and processes? Event background The workshop is part of a large project, called CSR Platform Project led by the European Academy of Business In Society (EABIS) and undertaken with the financial support of the European Community under the Sixth Framework Program of the European Union (FP6). INSEAD Business in Society (IBiS) Centre will host this workshop on its Relevant Audience Academics, researchers, business practitioners, and other stakeholder representatives with a strong interest and relevent experience in the links between business strategy and coporate responsibility. Submission Details If you have work that speaks to these questions, please contact Professor Maurizio Zollo at Maurizio.zollo@insead.edu and/or Renato Orsato at Renato.orsato@insead.edu. We are currently designing the agenda and have preliminary agreements to participate by leading strategy and organization theory scholars. More information
