PROBLEM/SITUATION DESCRIPTION:
OS3 multimedia is an interactive agency specialised in creating image of companies and institutions using the Internet and the new media. The objective of the agency is to create the image of the company sensitive to social issues, providing professional technological tools to non-governmental organizations, which will improve effectiveness of their communication with the stakeholders.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SOLUTION:
Program
We give a fishing rod, not a fish is a long-term activity for the benefits of non-governmental organisations which have limited budget for investments in new technologies and systems streamlining organisation's work and communication with stakeholders. Lack of effective communication with the audiences lowers effectiveness of ngo's actions and hinders the realization of the statutory tasks. The project consists in providing ngo’s with IT solutions enabling realising their status, building their image in the Internet, or facilitating communication with stakeholders via the Internet. The company shares its knowledge and its own innovative tools to help ngo's raise the effectiveness of their operations. The program had a long-term character. After determining the needs of a given organisation the agency implements the project and services it in need of ant up-dates and up-grades. All the tools and implementations are provided free of charge. Employees take part in the project as volunteers.
Until now OS3 multimedia intended its support over 3 ngo's:
SOS for Children,
Izabella and Adam Malysz Foundation and
Polish Humanitarian Aid, for which the company: determined needs within communication with stakeholders:
- created the design of website, launched it and up-dates it;
- is building a database of stakeholders and subscribers;
- conducted training on building relationships in the communities using e-mailing;
BENEFITS:
- Increase of employee's motivation, attachment to the company through social programs;
- Building image of the company sensitive to social problems and providing professional services and tools.
CHALLENGES:
- Maintaining the employees' involvement;
- Low activity of NGO and low percentage of use of the offered support.
WORTH REMEMBERING:
- Effective internal communication and motivational system for employees are indispensable for the successful realisation of such projects;
- Involvement of the management board reinforces communications and additionally motivates the team showing them what programs are important for companies.
