European Commissioner Ján Figel, responsible for Education, Training, Culture and Youth, and Top European Employers like Toyota, Unilever, Microsoft and Randstad are pleased to invite you to the Roundtable Skills for Employability at EuroSkills 2008 on Thursday 18 September at 1 pm at Ahoy Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

EuroSkills 2008 (18‐20 September) is organised by the European Skills Promotion Organisation (ESPO) and supported by European Commissioner Figel. It is the first pan-European skills competition featuring more than 400 competitors from 30 European countries. Hundreds of young professionals, vocational education and training (VET) students and graduates will show off their skills in this 3 day event. The Roundtable is a unique opportunity to engage in an open debate with key European stakeholders on how to link the policy (macro) level with specific company initiatives (micro level): policy makers, other European employers, the educational sector and youngsters. The following 2 topics will be discussed:

1. Bridging the formal education gap
2. Opening up opportunities for social integration.
